A new twist on Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)
You don’t go into a grocery store, hand the clerk your money, and say, “Go pick out something nice for me.” You buy only what you want in the quantities you need. And you do it when it’s convenient for you. Why expect any less from your farm?
With a Frijolito Farm Gift Card, you’ll be able to come to our new store in Columbus (opening this May) or to any of the farmers markets where we’ll be, and buy anything we have for sale.
We’ll be offering a wide variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as fresh, homemade bread and a limited supply of free-range eggs. With your help, we hope to also offer free-range, antibiotic-free chicken (whole, pieces, and sausage), a greater supply of free-range eggs, and free-range, antibiotic-free turkeys.
If we raise enough money through gift card sales, we may even be able to round out our offerings with some items from other local farmers—things like dairy products, honey, and other kinds of meats.
It all depends on you. We need your up-front investment to be able to cover our initial operating costs—things like chicks, feed, and farmers market fees. That’s what Community Supported Agriculture is all about. We’ve already applied to the Clintonville Farmers Market. If we raise enough money to cover the fee, we’ll also apply to the Worthington Farmers Market.
